Preschool Ångbåten is part of Rönnbergs Friskolor AB, founded in 1993, which also operates preschools in Nacka, Stockholm, Täby, Nykvarn, and Norrtälje. Preschool Ångbåten has been located in Ekerö center since 2000 and in Gällstaö since 2007. The preschools in Ekerö are close to water and scenic areas.

The educational activities are based on the children's interests, experiences, and needs. A democratic work environment where participation and real influence for everyone is central and characteristic of us. The preschool should be a safe, fun, and educational place that supports the whole child's development - heart, brain, body, and soul - in our common effort to achieve the goals of the preschool curriculum.

The position to be filled is at Ångbåten Gällstaö and runs from January to the summer of 2026. After that, there may be opportunities for extension or permanent employment. The preschool has space for 70 children divided into four groups. Two for the younger children and two for the older children. You will be placed among the older children.

We are looking for an engaged and knowledgeable preschool assistant who wants to be part of our team. You will work closely with colleagues in work teams to create a safe and educational environment for the children. The role includes planning, implementing, and following up on educational activities based on the goals of the curriculum.

We are looking for someone who is a trained preschool assistant and has experience working in a preschool. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. We see that you are responsible, flexible, and have good collaboration skills, as well as a genuine commitment to children's development and learning. You contribute to creating a positive and developing environment for each child and for the entire group, and we are therefore looking for someone who has a welcoming, positive, and solution-focused approach. You are driven and take your own initiatives, while also being attentive and reflective about the differences you encounter. You dare to challenge yourself and your practice, and have the ability to create good conditions for collaboration in various relational contexts. Experience with language development approaches, sustainable development, and systematic quality work is an advantage.
